Über die Veranstaltung
At the third concert of The Studio, pianist Beata Prokhorova will perform Korngold's Märchenbilder cycle. These are seven stunning piano pieces written by a very young composer at the beginning of the last century on various fairy tale plots, some famous, some less so.
Actress and singer Sarina Wagner on stage will read seven fairy tales by contemporary Russian writer Ivan Chekalov, written especially for this project in Russian and translated by The Studio. In his texts, Ivan treats fairy-tale plots in the same way as Korngold: cheerfully, briskly and reinterpreting everything in the world.
The fairy tales will be presented in German. Booklets with German and original Russian texts will also be available for purchase at the concert.
